Apologies to Joseph Jaffe
I have to confess: I was wrong. Last time I saw Jaffe in Belgium, at Challenge of the I, I commented on a post by Jo Martens that I had the feeling that Jaffe was telling the same story time and again and that it was time for him to reinvent himself. Jaffe even commented on the blog, defending himself against our blunt and harsh conclusions.
Today I have to confess in humbleness: I was wrong. I saw Jaffe at todays Stichting Marketing Congres. His keynote was brilliant. He spoke to over 1200 marketers in Belgium and he's brilliant in creating awareness for this new marketing 2.0 paradigm. When I saw him talking I realised it's people like Jaffe that open the market for interactive agencies like ours. i saw traditional marketers sitting next to me, who totally got the "jaffe juice", and I guess that's just brilliant.

Don't be silly...you keep me honest!
I really appreciate your post and more importantly your support.
Next time (if Belgium will ever let me back into the country), we need a Geek Dinner!
See this is what you get from these apologies posts...you get a nice comment from the man himself, Joseph Jaffe.
I like his writing, I have not hat/used the opportunity to see a presentation from Joseph. Next time he maybe can also spend one day in the Netherlands :)
@Joseph Jaffe, always in for a geek dinner with the Jaffe Groupy fanclub :-)
Thanks for the linklove on Jaffejuice. It generated loads of extra traffic to i-wisdom.
@Erno,
I wasn't necessarily looking for a new comment by Joseph Jaffe (although i really appreciate his comment and linklove). I used the apology as a style element, as a prozaic means of expressing my appreciation for his keynote speech, despite my earlier criticism.
I always feel slightly unconfortable with giving too much reciprocal linklove. That feels like too much like back scratching in the inner circle. :-)
Well, it took a while to reach January this year, but it's finally here. Hopefully it'll be mid-January soon.
